Mobile Automation today announced its Mobile Lifecycle Management Suite, which the company said offers full management capabilities for mobile devices and laptops.

Building upon their Mobile Automation 2000 management product, the company claims it has introduced a complete set of tools for managing mobile computers from initial deployment through retirement. It enables IT administrators to be able to work with a single software provider to manage devices throughout their lifecycle, without concerns relating to the physical location or connectivity of mobile and remote computers.

According to Mobile Automation, the Mobile Lifecycle Management Suite addresses all of the aspects of PC, mobile device and laptop lifecycle management, including the phases of deployment, management, support and retirement. The company said the Mobile Lifecycle Management Suite consists of the following modules: Mobile Discovery Manager, to seamlessly "learn" their entire network of mobile systems by silently discovering and collecting system data without user intervention; Mobile Systems Manager (formerly MA2000), to perform software deployments and global systems changes, and silently discover and collect detailed system data; Mobile Support Manager, to troubleshoot systems from any location using "Live Support" remote control and Web-based inventory and system status; Mobile Migration Manager, to perform full-scale global OS migrations across the network without any user intervention, automatically pushing out and installing hard disk images to mobile systems; and Mobile Security Manager, to validate and secure all mobile systems.
