DreamQuest Software, a mobile software vendor that specializes in card games, plans to run a wireless card game tournament on November 16th at 4PM in its free Internet lobby. The company said entrants will compete on cell phones or PDA handhelds equipped with wireless access to the Internet. Competitors will challenge each other for prizes donated from Nokia, Handango and others. The Grand Prize winner will receive a Nokia 9290 Communicator. DreamQuest is running the tournament to show the potential of wireless gaming. "As DreamQuest continues to be very excited about the future of wireless gaming, we have planned this event to demonstrate that card games don't have to be limited to just your desktop PC," said Christopher Williamson, DreamQuest Software's president and CEO. "We're striving to offer a fun and exciting evening complete with lively competition from players all over the world!"
According to DreamQuest, entrants can choose to play either its Championship Spades or Championship Hearts, two cross-platform wireless games. The company's website states that supported games include cell phones or PDA running the Palm OS or Pocket PC with an Internet connection, as well as the Nokia Communicator running the Symbian OS.
