iambic, a provider of software products for Palm OS devices, has released two versions of iambic Agendus for Windows: iambic Agendus for Windows Standard Edition and iambic Agendus for Windows Professional Edition. iambic Agendus is a contact-management and scheduling application formerly known as Action Names Datebook. iambic claims the program enhances Microsoft Outlook and the Palm Desktop with a series of advanced views and capabilities. It is compatible with both the Palm Desktop and Outlook data, reading and writing both formats. Agendus for Windows also synchronizes with Agendus for Palm using the existing Hotsync setup on the desktop. The company said Agendus for Windows allows the user to link contacts to calls, meetings and to-dos on the PC. The program tracks all contacts, displays contact histories, and analyzes all contact interactions and communications. Iambic said the program adds new calendar views with color support and color icons, and shows all contact links. The address list offers multiple sorting and grouping options. New mapping capability allows the user to get maps and driving directions directly from the Internet and for any contact in the address book. Multi-line item descriptions can be displayed in the calendar without abbreviation, while the email integration feature allows the user to send emails to contacts within Agendus with a single click.
