HillCast Technologies this week announced the availability of MidCast, a financial application that streams continuous real-time financial market information for mobile devices, on Sprint PCS devices. Back in October HllCast announced that MidCast as compatible with the latest release of Research In Motion's BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

The company said MidCast streams secure financial data to the Sprint PCS devices in real time, based on the stock symbols requested by the user. Users can choose the format for the information about the stocks they follow, including Level II data and real-time plot charts, which adjust dynamically as the market fluctuates.

Accordig to Andres Carvallo, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of HillCast, "We have been selling MidCast for Sprint PCS devices for about three months now and the data usage model is fantastic. On average users log-in 4 times per day, with 8 minutes per session, using 1 MB of data per month. That kind of usage has a real positive impact on ARPU."

For a limited time, HilLCast is making MidCas available with unlimited market data for a one-time fee of $29.95 for the HandSpring's Treo 300, the Samsung i300, N400, and A500, the Sanyo 4900, and the LG 5350 on Sprints PCS network.
