Skyscape, Inc., a provider mobile solutions for the healthcare community, is now offering its Skyscape medical references on Nokia wireless mobile phones, including the Nokia 9290 Communicator and the 3650 mobile phone/camera devices. Skyscape also announced its support for the Symbian operating system for mobile wireless phones. Skyscape said it is the first mobile healthcare company to support the Symbian platform. Symbian is an open, standard operating system for mobile wireless phones.

Through the use of its solutions on their handhelds, Skyscape said physicians can diagnose illnesses, determine treatment, prescribe medication, identify drug interactions, calculate dosages, and perform all the necessary steps involved with quality patient care right at the patient's bedside.

In related news, Skyscape has also joined the Nokia Tradepoint program. Nokia Tradepoint is a business-to-business e-marketplace that offers new business opportunities for both buyers and suppliers of mobile services. The companies said membership in this program allows Skyscape to more easily meet the needs of the enterprises who wish to deliver reference solutions via public and in-house networks.
