TDK Systems to Offer Microsoft Bluetooth Solution

TDK Systems plans to integrate Microsoft's Bluetooth software into its existing product set. The announcement follows Microsoft's announcement of Bluetooth support in Windows XP.

TDK Systems said it will offer Microsoft's Bluetooth software with its 'go blue' range of Bluetooth hardware solutions, which includes USB and PC Card devices, enabling organizations which have standardized on Microsoft to wireless-enable devices quickly and easily. Palm's new Tungsten T and Hewlett-Packard's latest iPAQ, the h5450, both feature integrated Bluetooth.

According to TDK Systems, Microsoft's software allows peripherals such as keyboards, mice, gaming devices and Bluetooth-enabled PDAs to be connected to a PC without cables. Dr. Michael W. Foley, Wireless Architect, Microsoft Corp, said "we have been working with TDK Systems for some time to ensure our Bluetooth protocol stack communicates with as many products as possible. We're delighted that TDK intends to incorporate our Bluetooth functionality into their own range of successful devices."
