Communication Intelligence Corporation (CIC) introduced a new security application this week named Signature Wallet, $24.99 for PDAs and handheld devices running the Palm OS.

The company said Signature Wallet is a secure account management application enabling users to store, in an encrypted file, and retrieve many forms of personal and confidential data such as, bank account information, credit card account numbers, Social Security numbers and Internet account information. Your signature is the key to unlocking the encrypted information.

CIC said the data is encrypted using a combination of industry standard encryption techniques. Signature Wallet also goes beyond just protecting the electronic wallet as it allows users to secure their whole PDA by enabling biometric signature verification to replace the existing password protection system when the device is first turned on.
