Mobile Automation, a provider of management solutions for mobile and desktop computing devices, announced an addition to its Mobile Automation 2000 mobile infrastructure product.

The new feature of Live Support for Pocket PC allows corporate help desk technicians to remotely control and assist Windows Powered Pocket PC device users wirelessly, or through docking cradles, regardless of their location.

"Mobile Automation's Live Support for Pocket PC extends the Windows Powered platform's power to administrators by enabling them to manage each mobile employee's device remotely," said Scott Gode, director for Mobility at Microsoft Corp. "In essence, it helps companies rapidly deploy Pocket PC-based solutions that will increase their work force productivity."

Mobile Automation 2000 Live Support for Pocket PC (which comes with Mobile Automation 2000 Enterprise Edition) allows remote control of Pocket PC devices from its management and web console, using device recognition technology to handle DCHP configured devices and cradled devices.
