Advent to Distribute Pumatech's Enterprise Intellisync Server

Advent Software, a provider of Enterprise Investment Management solutions, plans to license Pumatech's Enterprise Intellisync server-to-server connectivity and synchronization technology to enable users of Qube, Advent's integrated client and portfolio relationship management system, to synchronize calendar, contacts, tasks and e-mail between Qube and Microsoft Outlook (via Microsoft Exchange), Lotus Notes (via Lotus Domino), and PDA/wireless devices.

Under the terms of the agreement, Advent Software will license Pumatech's XML toolkit to embed a version of Enterprise Intellisync Server that will provide server-to-server synchronization with Advent's Qube database. The company said this embedded functionality will be a core part of the Qube software distributed by Advent under license with Pumatech.

In addition, Advent will purchase a license to distribute a version of the Enterprise Intellisync Server that will enable Qube clients to deploy a wireless device synchronization solution throughout the enterprise, creating "three-way" synchronization capability among Qube, the Enterprise Intellisync Server (Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange), and Palm OS or Pocket PC/Windows CE handhelds.

Qube customers can purchase the wireless synchronization solution by upgrading to a full version of Pumatech's Enterprise Intellisync Server that will also support Qube.
