Expand Beyond today announced the release of its latest edition of PocketDBA Enterprise Edition (EE) for Oracle. The company said PocketDBA EE for Oracle provides IT professionals complete, always-on mobile management of their IT systems including Oracle databases, UNIX & NT servers, and routers from handheld devices over any mobile network including GSM/GPRS and WLAN.

PocketDBA EE for Oracle, which combines Expand Beyond's mobile enterprise software products, PocketDBA and PocketAdmin, is the company's fifth product release since its inception two years ago. The company said this solution affords administrators a secure way to monitor, manage and troubleshoot mission-critical systems in real-time from Pocket PC and Palm OS handhelds.

In the second half of this year, Expand Beyond expects to release PocketDBA for IBM DB2 and PocketDBA for Microsoft SQL Server. In doing so, the company will provide mobile management software for the top three database platforms, which collectively account for 83 percent of the $8.8 billion database market.
