Ecutel Inc., a provider of mobile VPN software, has made available Viatores for Windows-powered Pocket PCs, which the company said mobile VPN software based on international standards to allow mobile users to roam securely and seamlessly between private networks, public networks, LANs, wireless LANs, cellular networks and other communication networks. According to the Ecutel, Viatores provides maximum encryption using 3DES and meets IP Security (IPSec) and Mobile IP standards with a full range of data encryption, integrity, and authentication algorithms. The company said that unlike legacy VPNs, Ecutel's technology allows for an uninterrupted connection across multiple networks with no reconfiguration or reboot. Viatores determines which connection to the corporate network is best based on preset policies.
In addition to Pocket PC 2002, the Viatores Client supports Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
