PatientKeeper, Inc., a company that focuses on mobilizing medical information, has upgraded its Patient management product, PatientKeeper Personal, to version 3.0.

PatientKeeper Personal helps physicians to capture and organize patient data including general history and physical information, medication information, lab and diagnostic test results, notes and task lists, all on a Palm OS or Pocket PC device. According to the company, over 45,000 caregivers have registered to use PatientKeeper Personal software.

The company said PatientKeeper Personal 3.0 was beta-tested by over 3,500 clinicians and represents a significant upgrade to PatientKeeper Personal 2.33. As with PatientKeeper Enterprise products that use an open architecture and modular design, PatientKeepr said PatientKeeper Personal 3.0 allows multiple, independently authored applications to be integrated with a common patient list. Information like patient context, disease and drug reference information can be shared between applications.

PatientKeepr said the software addresses the individual workflow preferences of physicians and clinicians across multiple medical specialties. It currently offering a portfolio of sixteen applications, many of which are developed by third parties and are compatible with PatientKeeper Enterprise, a mobile technology network for hospitals.
