AvantGo Expands Distribution of Enteprise Solutions

AvantGo has expanded its online distribution of its AvantGo Pylon solutions through mobile software Handango. AvantGo said its Pylon solutions enable enterprises to access their custom Lotus Notes applications, e-mail, schedules, contacts, tasks and notes on Pocket PC and Palm OS devices.

"We are delighted to expand our relationship with AvantGo to include the availability of Pylon solutions through Handango's more than 100 global distribution channels," said Clint Patterson, vice president of product marketing at Handango. "More than two million customers come to Handango each month looking for high-quality mobile software, and AvantGo offers them one of the most comprehensive application and PIM solutions on the market."

According to AvantGo, the Pylon solutions now featured on Handango's website include:

-- Pylon Application Server -- Centrally configured and managed, Pylon Application Server integrates with Lotus Domino Server, enabling IT managers to provide wireless or wired access to custom Lotus Notes applications and PIM data on Pocket PC and Palm OS handhelds.

-- Pylon Pro -- Organizations and individuals can instantly mobilize custom Lotus Notes databases and applications, including sales force automation, workflow and field service applications, as fully functional handheld applications without re-programming, as well as synchronize PIM data right from the desktop onto their Pocket PC and Palm OS devices.

-- Pylon Conduit -- Organizations and individuals can access PIM data, including e-mail, contacts, schedules, tasks, memos and expenses, in Lotus Notes using Pocket PC and Palm OS devices through synchronization with desktop computers.
