Epoch Releases Enterprise AdminTool for BlackBerry

Epoch Integration, a provider of enterprise wireless software, has made availabile its NeedTEXT Shell Enterprise Server for customers in the United States. The product allows administrators to perform any task available from an ASCII terminal on a Research In Motion (RIM) 950 or 957 Blackbery device using standard command-line tools such as telnet, ssh, and ftp.

The company said the software allows users to detect, diagnose and fix problems on their network from anywhere within wireless network coverage. Features include full command-line access from a RIM BlackBerry; 128-bit encryption, end-to-end, for secure data transmission; user-configurable encryption keys; advanced and configurable logging; and per user licensing (no limit on number of servers or network devices that can be accessed).

Epoch Integration said the NeedTEXT Shell Enterprise Server installs in Windows, UNIX and Linux environments.
