UpShot Corporation's sales-focused CRM solution, available online or offline, can now be accessed via the BlackBerry Wireless Handheld from Research In Motion (RIM). The BlackBerry rounds out the types of wireless devices that can be used to access sales information in UpShot.

UpShot said customers using the BlackBerry as well as wireless PDAs and Web-enabled cell phones will be able enter information in UpShot and receive UpShot Alerts. UpShot Alerts proactively notify sales executives of problems and opportunities with deals.

Instead of forcing users to root through a system for information by running reports or online searches, UpShot notifies sales executives of the problems they face -- wherever they are and while, according to the company, there's still time to make a difference. The company said executives can configure UpShot to notify them about the kind of events they care most about. In addition, alerts can be set up to find salespeople in real time, whether they are online or offline. Alerts can be sent to a cellphone or pager via SMS text messaging or via email to a desktop PC, Blackberry RIM or Web-enabled PDA.

UpShot Alerts are available now as part of UpShot XE at no additional cost.
