By Psion Place Staff
Psion Teklogix, a provider of rugged mobile devices, has added new variations to its netpad handheld tablet. The company said the netpad now comes equipped with two new wireless connectivity options for LAN and WAN networks. The introduction of the netpad 5000 series with the choice of integrated 802.11b or GSM/GPRS radios provides additional wireless connectivity options for mobile workers. According to Psion Teklogix, the new netpad tablets are designed to meet the wide variety of needs of mobile workers across a broad spectrum of market segments, as the new netpad tablets allow mobile workers to access and share information, update inventory databases and solve customer concerns in real-time. The company claims the choice of integrated radio options make the netpad the ideal solution for transportation, asset management, field service and mobile sales applications. The new editions are built on the same platform of earlier netpad models and offer the same characteristics and provide an integrated bar code scanner option. The netpad features half VGA colour touch screen, four-way navigation button and two programmable function keys. All four new netpad tablets will be available with a choice of Microsoft CE. NET or Symbian operating system.
