iambic, a provider of software products for Palm OS devices, has changed the name of its Action Names Datebook software to iambic Agendus, and its Action Names School title to Agendus Student Edition.

The company said the goal of the new product names will serve to broaden the company’s brand recognition in the contact-management and scheduling product market.

iambic’s claims the move to the Agendus product name reinforces the company’s commitment to the re-creation of its products as deemed by the consumer handheld market. In the near future, iambic plans to unveil new features of its Agendus line of software titles. ”For almost a decade, Action Names Datebook has been synonymous with convenience and efficiency, and we hope to carry these connotations on to the Agendus brand name, as well,” said Vidal Graupera, president and CEO of iambic.

Both versions of Agendus can be used on all Palm OS devices, including Palm OS 5, and supports all high-resolution handhelds, including the Sony Clie PEG-NR70 and NR70V series with 320-by-480 pixel displays. iambic Agendus and Agendus Student Edition retail for $24.95 and $14.95.
