FutureDial Syncs Samsung Handsets with Phonebook Dat

By James Miller
January 13, 2003

FutureDial has developed software and a cable for Samsung A500/N400/N240 users who have been waiting for a solution to help them synchronize phonebook data with the PC.

The company said the new USB cable supports FutureDial SnapSync and SnapDialer software. SnapSync software allows mobile phone users to edit phonebook information directly on the PC, and then transfer that data to a mobile phone. The software can synchronize with Microsoft Outlook, or can operate as a stand-alone database. SnapDialer software is a PC program that enables wireless Internet access on a laptop using the mobile phone as a wireless modem.

The software costs $39.99 when bought together or $29.99 each when purchased separately. The cable costs $29.99.
