HandStory has made available HandStory Basic 2.3 for Palm OS and HandStory Basic 2.3 for Pocket PC, freeware versions of HandStory's multi-function suite. As a result, the HandStory Suite 30-day Trial version has been discontinued.

According to HandStory, Handsotry Basic 2.3 users can download and view HandStory Clip contents from the HandStory Clip Service or from other HandStory Clip distributors; download and view HandStory eBooks from the HandStory Clip Page or from other HandStory eBook distributors; sync HandStory Clips; surf the Web and quickly save any text as a memo or a Doc to a Palm by copying the data and clicking on the HandStory icon in the system tray; save any images on the desktop or on the Web browser screen to a Palm by copying the data and clicking on the HandStory icon in the system tray; and browse and view all memos, Docs, eBooks, images, or Web Clips in a Palm with a single application.
