LandWare has released what it calls a significantly enhanced version of its Shanghai Pocket Essentials ($19.95) Palm OS game, which is based on Activision desktop edition of the classic game Mah-Jongg.

The latest version of Shanghai Pocket Essentials features support for Palm OS 5 handhelds, including the Palm Tungsten T and the Sony CLIE PEG-NX and NZ Series. LandWare said Shanghai Pocket Essentials has been extensively enhanced to provide life like tile sets that faithfully reproduce the graphics of Activision's original on Palm OS 5 high-resolution displays.

The company said the game features over 100 different layouts with 9 tile sets. Players can also create and save their own layouts by way of the built-in layout editor.

Additional features include:

- Over 100 Shanghai Layouts
- Built-in Layout Editor
- Four Play Modes
- Two Levels of Difficulty
- Includes 9 Tile Sets
