Bitstream has released version 1.06 of ThunderHawk, its wireless Web browsing technology first released last year, adding support for Dell Axim and Hewlett-Packard iPAQ 5400-series handhelds. ThunderHawk's cheif claim fame is that it allows users to view VGA size Web pages virtually on a small Pocket PC display. "ThunderHawk lets users work with all Web-based email and applications. And our large virtual 800x600 screen size emulates the view that people are used to on desktop machines," explained Anna Chagnon, Bitstream president. According to the company, current system requirements for ThunderHawk are as follows: -- A Pocket PC running Windows CE 3.0, Pocket PC 2000, or Pocket PC 2002 OS, such as:
