By James Miller Pumatech plans to publicly unveil its Intellisync for Oracle software at this week's Oracle AppsWorld 2003 event in San Diego. The companies introduced Intellisync for Oracle back in November. According to the companies, Intellisync for Oracle provides two-way synchronization of appointments, business contacts and to-do lists between the Oracle E-Business Suite Calendar with either Microsoft Outlook or Palm OS handhelds. The Oracle E-Business Suite Calendar is currently available in the following Oracle E-Business Suite applications: Oracle Sales Online, Oracle TeleSales and Oracle Marketing Online. "By teaming up with Pumatech to create the Intellisync for Oracle solution, we are enabling our customers to extend the power of many of the Oracle E-Business Suite applications," said Mark Israelsen, vice president, Oracle market development partner programs. "Through a two-way synchronization process, users can access and manipulate essential contact, appointment and to-do information with the most popular productivity tools, such as Palm OS handhelds and Outlook." Pumatech said Intellisync for Oracle was developed using Pumatech's XML toolkit -- a component of the company's Intellisync for Web software. The XML toolkit uses XML commands, embedded inside HTTP packets, to communicate with Internet-based servers like Oracle's. Under the terms of the agreementy, Pumatech will handle all marketing, sales and fulfillment of the Intellisync for Oracle software. Pricing of Intellisync for Oracle begins at $139 per seat (including Maintenance) for 5-200 users. Related Links:
