Health Network Deploys MercuryMD Handheld Solution

By James Miller
January 30, 2003

MercuryMD, a company that integrates hospital data and delivers patient information to clinicians' handheld devices, announced today that its mobile patient data delivery technology, the MData Enterprise System, is available to Inland Northwest Health Services' 26 member hospitals.

According to MercuryMD, MData Enterprise System integrates hospital data and delivers patient information directly to clinicians' handheld devices, enabling doctors, pharmacists, nurses and other healthcare professionals to have anytime access to current and comprehensive clinical data.

MData said MData Enterprise System integrates patient data from Inland Northwest Health Services' MEDITECH information system and 65 related clinical databases, and delivers this information - such as up-to-date patient census lists, demographics, laboratory results, diagnostic reports, medication lists, and transcribed reports - directly to clinicians' Pocket PC or Palm OS handhelds.
