The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has given approval to Sony for the release of a new model in its mid-level CLIE T-Series, the PEG-TG50. Sony needed the FCC approval for PEG-TG50 because it integrates Bluetooth, just like another recently announced CLIE, the high-end ($799) PEG-NZ90.
Not much else is known about this new device, but what details are available come from an article by PC World. According to PC World, the TG50 doesn't have an area for Graffiti (real or virtual) but has a small Qwerty keyboard underneath the screen. Other high-end CLIE's have keyboards, including the NZ90, but the TG50 will be the first CLIE to have a keyboard that doesn't also have a clamshell design. In addition, the hardware buttons have been moved up so they reside in-between the display and keyboard.
As for what other features, such as what operating system the new CLIE runs (Palm OS 4 or 5), how much memory it has and what processor it uses, PDAStreet will report that information when they're released.
