AvantGo and salesforce.com, an customer relationship management (CRM) website, today announced AvantGo Mobile Sales for salesforce.com, a My AvantGo channel that enables salesforce.com customers to view, update and manage salesforce.com information from their handheld devices.

With AvantGo Mobile Sales for salesforce.com, the companies said users can access salesforce.com tasks, accounts, contacts and opportunities on their handheld devices, enabling them to view, update and manage new records from the device, as well as search and find existing records. All customer information is synchronized locally to the handheld device.

salesforce.com users with Pocket PC devices can subscribe to a free 30-day trial of AvantGo Mobile Sales for salesforce.com online at the AvantGo website. A subscription to the channel is available for $299 per year from AvantGo. For a limited time, users can receive the new service for an introductory subscription price of $249 per year. Support for Palm OS handheld devices is slated to be available by the end of the month.
