Monitor Network with Mobile SSH for BlackBerry

By RIM Road Staff
October 14, 2003

Idokorro Mobile's latest BlackBerry application is Mobile SSH ($95), a tool for IT support personnel to monitor systems and perform routine maintenance through Telnet and SSH from a Research In Motion BlackBerry handheld.

Idokorro said Mobile SSH does not require a server side proxy, as it is a standalone application that creates direct connections to SSH and Telnet servers from the BlackBerry. No BlackBerry Enterprise Server is required for Nextel 6510 BlackBerry users, as connections are established using Nextel's direct TCP/IP stack.

The new software features SSH-2, VT100, and multiple font size support, and is compatible with the color 7200 BlackBerry as well as Java-enabled 5000 and 6000 devices.
