EOps Technology, has announced a TV Tuner Compact Flash card for Pocket PC 2002 and Windows Mobile 2003 handhelds.

The EOps TV CF Card has a built-in TV tuner that enables a Pocket PC to receive real time TV broadcasts directly from stations for free, as opposed to alternatives, such as downloaded video, which is pre-recorded and may not be free. Of course, you need to be able to get a TV signal to use the EOps tuner, while downloaded video is always there on your device to be viewed.

The weight of the TV CF Card including four AAAbatteries is 3.5 ounces. The four batters get you about 2.5 hours of TV.

A US NTSC version (model: TV CF Card N-01) for the United States and a PAL version (model: TV CF Card P-01) for the UK and Asia are slated to be launched. The price for American version should be $99. Both models are expected tobe available in March of next year.
