Sprint Discounts Smartphones by $100

Sprint is offering a $100 discount with the purchase and activation of a PCS Vision Capable PCS smartphone. The discount applies to the Handspring Treo 300, Samsung SPH-i330 and Toshiba 2032 until March 30.

According to the company, customers will receive the $100 discount upon purchase and activation of one of these devices. The offer reduces the price of the Handspring Treo 300 and Samsung i330 from $499.99 to $399.99, and the Toshiba 2032 from $699.99 to $599.99. Customers may also receive a $100 PCS service credit or mail-in rebate depending on credit history, purchase location and time of activation. Treo 300 customers can also save $100 with the purchase at Handspring's website.

The Handspring Treo 300 and Samsung PSH-i330 are both Palm OS devices. The i330 has a 160 x 240 pixel, 256-color touch screen panel display, It weighs less than six ounces with the standard battery and features digital talk time of 170 minutes, with a standby time of 174 hours. The 4,000 color Treo 300 has a backlit built-in QWERTY keyboard and features up to three hours of talk time and 150 hours of standby time. It weighs 5.4 ounces. The Toshiba 2032 is a Pocket PC-based smartphone that weighs 7 ounces and has a 65,536 color display. It offers 90 minutes of talk and 8 hours of standby time.
