Jot is OK, and to the uninitiated seems easy to use at first. BUT unlike Graffiti it is highly intolerant to minor errors. All Graffiti letters are clearly different and Graffiti is error tolerant once learnt. Jot is easily confused with u, v and w if written fast, k, r and f are sometimes confused if written in certain ways, and the difference between (,{ and [ is negligible and takes several attempts sometimes. I still haven't managed to do a comma ... I could go on, but what's the point.
Oh, the point is ... PALM!! DON'T DO IT - Graffiti ain't broke so don't fix it. If you want to change, wait until Jot has got its act in order and Ls followed by spaces don't turn into Ts. etc. etc.
I reckon Jot takes me about twice as long as graffiti to write a similar sentence and I can do graffiti without looking at the device whereas with Jot I have to look to diferentiate between lower case letters, capitals and numbers.
In the mean time, I am, whether I like the text input or not, the proud owner of a P800 (Fantastic device, I love it!), Does anyone know where there is a summary of the shapes that need to be written to get commas and if there is a more intelligent way of getting an i or a t (or an x) without having to combine two strokes, please let me know.
Regards
Martin
