By PDAStreet.com Staff Town Compass and Stephenson Strategies of Medfield Massachusetts have released a handheld program summarizing information people need to prepare for and respond to a terrorist attack. The Terrorism Survival Plan runs on both Palm OS and Pocket PC 2002 and is a database that's compatible with Town Compass' DataViewer. According to the companies, the goal of the Terrorism Survival Plan is for users to always have it with them so as to be able to quickly access vital information without needing to consult paper booklets or call officials. David Stephenson of the principal consultant at Stephenson Strategies said he culled and created terse summaries of information from hundreds of pages of publications issued by the Department of Homeland Security, FEMA, several state and local governments, government guides in the UK, Japan, and Israel, plus other sources. The program has over 700 entries and covers topics that include:
-- preparing emergency supply kits and family communication plans
The first two modules of the Terrorism Survival Plan, survival planning and response, are priced at $3.95 each, or bundled for $5.95.
