There's never enough memory !
I reckon even if the device memory were to be further increased, users like me will still always relish putting a memory card plugged in always... just think of 1GB, 2GB cards tomorrow...

Nice, but do keep the cost down
I'd say it's about time as well. I've got a Visor and it's kinda annoying to have to keep a 16MB flash mem card constantly plugged in for my games (the bulk of my stuff). Furthermore, certain large apps like dictionaries, other references, and games can't be read or executed right off the springboard module, so having 128MB of contigious handheld space would really make my day. I just hope this 'new' PDA doesn't cost an obcene amount of money.

I'm also guessing that such an increase in mem will be for palmOS 5.0 PDAs, as I really can't imagine 3.5 really needing it, only for users to dump LOTS of stuff on there. All the same anyways, as if i get a new PDA, for now it'll most likely a palm5.0 device. I suppose now you can store and play pictures and music on your handheld.

Finally! When?! When?! When?!
Finally! I am an R.N. and have many, many programs on my pda. Allthough PowerRun works great I am so tired of going back and forth from the memory stick to open up and run programs. My pda recently crashed on me while I was trying to upload more programs. I usually receive an error message when the internal memory is too low and it will simply not upload further programs until I create more room on the internal. The last time I did this my pda didn't handle it so smoothly. I sometimes question the stability of Palm OS 5 ~ however, it is much faster.

A few questions...does anyone know WHEN the devices with 128 mb will be available, can you upgrade OS 5 to OS 5.2.1, and will my Sony Clie NX70V be upgradeable for the 128mb? I hope I do not have to purchase a new pda. If so, ebay, here I come!

Do the math
Excuse me, but an increase in memory (not memroy)from 16 MB to 128 MB is an8 fold increase, not 7 fold.
Is the lack of ability to do math a consequence of our reliance on these gadgets?

Its About Time
Thank God. The Palm devices should start selling even faster with the ability to use it for more than just a glorified notebook. I use a palm for time to time but still find paper easier and faster. Maybe with 128MB I will be able to use it for more of my business needs.
