GiveMePower and Tripod Data Systems (TDS) have agreed to offer specially bundled mobile computer-aided design (CAD) and GPS solutions for users who require the ability to remotely manage AutoCAD compatible designs and digital blueprints in harsh outdoor and industrial environments.

Starting at $1,579, the companies said the three new bundles combine the military-grade ruggedness of TDS's new Recon Pocket PC with the full-featured 2D/3D CAD capabilities of GiveMePower's PowerCAD CE software and the GPS location and navigation capabilities of TDS's new SoloView software.

"Bundling PowerCAD on the Recon gives customers the ability to remotely view and edit their CAD designs and digital blueprints under any imaginable working conditions," said Roy Scribner, Marketing Manager for TDS. "Adding SoloView extends the power of CAD to include location and navigation capabilities using any of today's most popular GPS receivers."

The companies said the PowerCAD/Recon mobile computing bundles feature Microsoft's Windows CE .NET 4.1 operating system. .
