Sonic Mobility sonicadmin now enables users to access, monitor and configure their BlackBerry Enterprise Server wirelessly via a BlackBerry handheld. Sonicadmin is a remote administration solution for BlackBerry and Pocket PC that enables users to manage their Windows NT/2000/2003 servers and SSH & Telnet capable network devices to diagnose and fix problems on the fly.
Sony Ericsson's Symbian-based P800 Smartphone, featuring Personal Java and Java MIDP support, has been verified with Xora's J2ME solution to enable mobile access to Siebel, Clarify, SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle and other applications using Xora's EnterpriseOne mobile platform.


The PDAtopsoft.com software store for Palm OS, Windows CE, Pocket PC, BlackBerry, and EPOC has added a Smartphones software section with categories that include Business, Entertainment, Travel, Games, Utilities, Desktop & Shell, Finance, Ebooks, Internet & Network, Educational, and Multimedia & Graphics,
JotMobile Networks' Digital Sales Assistant System with Client for Palm OS devices enables mobile sales and field service personnel to schedule automated delivery of product and service information at the time and place of customer contact. The Palm OS client provides a mobile system interface to a hosted Digital Sales Assistant server. The hosted server provides a simplified contact manager interface, message management, and an email broadcast system. For message management, users access the server through any web browser.
Proporta's Probackup for the Pocket PC ($50), its sequel to ProBackup on the Palm, is a MultiMedia Card that offers full incremental backups of the memory on Pocket PC devices.


Bitstream has released version 1.07 of ThunderHawk, its Web browser for the Pocket PC. TunderHawk is known for approaching the experience of desktop browsing on a handheld. New features in the latest version include improved and simplified installation; the ability to download any file through the Web browser and new Enterprise Edition features, such as a new Windows installer for the ThunderHawk server


DreamQuest Software's newest game is Championship Cribbage Pro, a cross-platform card game that allows gamers to play on and against a variety of devices, including Windows PCs, Palm OS and Pocket PC handhelds, and Symbian OS cell phones.


UniFEP for Communicator (Japanese) is the latest Enfour release in its UniFEP family of titles. Suitable for use on the Nokia 9210i Communicator, UniFEP enables the input and display of Japanese kana and kanji in all of the built-in applications such as Agenda, Contacts as well as the business applications of Word and Sheet. When used in conjunction with the GSM network, the sending and receiving of Japanese emails as well as web-surfing Japanese sites is possible.
Remember the Palm m505? The slightly lighter m515 replaced it with a brighter screen and twice the memory, but with the same slim gunmetal case. Not everyone has been happy with the m515’s unlighted graffiti area or its always-on backlit screen, harder to read in bright light than the m505’s screen. The Palm store has relisted the m505 at $249, smack dab between the m130 at $199, and the m515 and Zire 71 at $299.

Epoch Integration is partnering with Bologna-based Wireless Solutions S.p.A. to distribute its NeedTEXT Shell software to the Italian market. NeedTEXT Shell software operating on the BlackBerry wireless platform provides IT departments with a behind-the-firewall solution that enables the handheld to access a command-line interface, allowing users to manage their servers, routers, and other network equipment.
Greenlight Wireless Skweezer is a service that allows PDA and smartphone users to dynamically reformat large-screen web content for use on their small-screen displays. The company said Web content optimized with Skweezer is intelligently “stacked”, so that side-to-side scrolling is greatly reduced or altogether eliminated. Skweezer is available for purchase at introductory rate of S$9.99 for one year of service.
Sony's online store SonyStyle.com has lowered the price on the CLIE NX70V and NX60V by $100, bring the PDAs to $500 and $400 respectively. They've even throwing in a leather case with each device. The new PEG-NX70V CLIE handheld includes Palm OS 5.0, a 200 MHz CPU and a built-in digital camera.
