Mobile systems' e-Diet Manager 3.21.2 ($19.95) is a Palm OS application designed to help users manage their daily nutrition, exercise, and health by helping to set and achieve fitness and weight loss/gain objectives. It provides libraries of various food items and sport activities and the tools necessary to track and analyze daily records.


PDAPortal.us is a directory of PDA-friendly websites that is meant to be used as a browser home page for Palm, Pocket PC or other PDAs in wireless or mobile Internet applications. It contains more than 200 PDA-friendly web sites, which can be accessed by category, popularity, alphabetical order or via keyword search. In addition, users can search the Web, check stock prices and check the weather for any U.S. ZIP code.
Network Simplicity is bringing a version of its Meeting Room Manager 2002 scheduling application to the Pocket PC, reconfiguring the product to work outside of the office on wireless devices, and giving users live offsite access to their scheduling system. According to the company, the new Handheld Edition incorporates much of the functionality of the desktop version and includes email integration with the Pocket PC’s Inbox.
AbsoluteWord.com's AW Geographical Atlas ($19.95) is an illustrated mobile reference for Palm OS and Pocket PC handhelds that contains information about various countries, including their location, population, economies, and military. It also offers map and flag pictures for each country. A "lite" version (without pictures) is available for devices without memory card support.

2K development's connect2phone is a phone manager for Pocket PC devices. The application combines a SMS Client, integrated dialling functionality and phonebook synchronization. 2k development said the application detects a mobile phone out of a list of more than 40 supported handsets from all major manufacturers. So you can, for instance, edit your SIM card entries from your Pocket PC and export them to Outlook. Another feature called the GSM Dialer enables direct dialing from a Pocket PC for a mobile phone. Collect the number you want to dial from your Pocket PC contacts, press dial and you're connected.
Toshiba America Electronic Components has introduced as 512MB Secure Digital (SD) Memory Card, a high-density card that features a maximum data transfer rate of 10 megabytes per second. Designated SD-M5124BX, the new 512MB SD Card consists of two of Toshiba's 2 gigabit NAND flash memory devices packaged in the postage stamp sized SD card format.
Covigo's Portal Enhancement Suite for BEA WebLogic Portal Server provides traveling executives, field service technicians and sales personnel, who are outside of network coverage or working remotely, with offline and wireless access to BEA portal applications and data, such as business applications, executive dashboards and documents, on their laptops and PDAs. Using Covigo, the company said mobile users can perform complex transactions offline and then sync the stored information once they are back online.
