UTrackSys.com, maker of multipurpose tracking software for the Palm OS, has performed a general update to all of its products distributed under the UTS brand by adding support for memory cards. Now users can switch among UTS plug-ins with one tap no matter where they are placed, be it main memory or an expansion card.
XI-ART's Super!GamePack for the Pocket PC includes five games; Cattery, Towers, Pick11, ZooPip, and WonderBall. In addition, until August 1st, the company is offering a 24% discount when you buy two games and a 38% discount when you buy the GamePack, bringing the price of the GamePack down to $36.55 from $44.99.
Beiks LLC has added the InterType Greek Localization Kit to its family of Palm OS localization products. With the InterType Greek Localization Kit installed on a Palm OS 5 PDA, users are able to read and input Greek language characters directly into their handhelds. InterType is a set of OS extension modules, allowing American and Pan-European versions of Palm OS 5 to display and accept certain additional alphabets and languages not readily available in the basic device configuration.
Proporta has released an aluminum case for the Toshiba e740 Pocket PC ($34.95). The case is made of anodized aluminum and is molded to fit the handheld. It includes a soft and durable neoprene lining and supplies easy access from cutouts to Stylus, SD Card Slot, CF Card Slot, Headphone Jack, Microphone, Recording Button, Scroller, IR Port, Reset Button, DC-in Socket, Hotsync Port and Battery Switch.
SYWARE, a developer of mobile database tools has released Visual CE for Windows Mobile 2003, a database and forms development application for creating software for the latest edition of Microsoft's operating system for handhelds, Windows Mobile 2003. The company said the application is designed for a wide range of application environments, from sales force automation to insurance forms to inventory management. It includes support for GPS devices, complete picture control, multi-device synchronization, and a wide range of numeric, string, and date functions. POCKET ODYSSEY2 ($4.95) from Clickgamer Technologies is a Odyssey2 / Videopac+ emulator for the Pocket PC. According to the company, it includes support for the Videopac Plus (G7400), four screen viewing modes, automatic game rom detection, PAL & NTSC support, several game manuals, and a game rom package with 124 roms (including bios roms). It uses standard gamelist.ini format for import from the PC O2 emulator.
Mobile Systems Mobile Word 2003 is a new word processor application for the Palm OS, providing tools for text formatting that are the same as what you would find in a desktop text editor. It also features full integration with Microsoft Word, allowing synchronization of your documents to the handheld., and has a spell checkers in six languages; English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Dutch.
You can now use Margi System's handheld presentation solution, Presenter-to-Go, with Mac OS X v10.2 rather then just the 8.5 and 9.2 editions of the operating system. The update which is free, let's users transfer their PowerPoint presentations to their handheld from Mac OS X v10.2 and then use the PDA to run the presentation on a projector. Related Links:
