Hitachi G1000 Falls Short Next To Samsung i700
I have a Hitachi G1000 AND a Samsung i700. The Hitachi is cool because of the built-in keyboard but, the 32 meg memory sucks especially when trying to load a big picture or video file. The Samsung i700 on the other hand, has plenty (64 meg) of memory to load video and huge music files with no problems. If you don't mind typing with a stylus, then the Samsung i700 is the best choice. Like I said, I have both phones (one on Verizon the other on Sprint), I find that the Samsung fits the hand better and runs bigger programs faster. The built-in keyboard makes the Hitachi a bit too big. Unless you can afford both then, go for the Sammy.

Get the Hitachi G1000
The Hitachi G1000 is amazing. Totally worth the buy.
