Onset Technology has joined Advanced Productivity Software's (APS) partner program. The company claims the partnership will enhance its METAmessage solutions for Research In Motion BlackBerry deployments that allow attorneys access APS's DTE time-and-billing solution, spell-check outgoing messages, and use document management and CRM applications.

"More and more of today's attorney's are very mobile and have embraced the BlackBerry handhelds as their platform of choice," said Jim Tharpe, president of APS. "These attorneys and their firms have a deep interest in augmenting the functionality that is supplied with the basic unit with other pertinent applications. Especially, applications like time entry that can make a real difference in their bottom line. We've always been committed to providing the legal industry with easy to use and flexible time-entry options, and our partnership with Onset helps ensure that DTE solutions are available where, when, and how our customers want."

According to Onset, METAmessage, which is used by over 150 law firms (40+ in the AmLaw 100) and over 1000 enterprise customers, is a complete out-of-the-box solution for BlackBerry handheld access to the enterprise. Users can interact directly with a range of enterprise data systems including document management/time-and-billing/CRM programs, enterprise applications, and internally developed databases.

In related news, Onset Technology has joined Interface Software's partner program. Interface Software said it is a provider of CRM solutions enabling professional services firms to create the Relationship Intelligence they need to generate new business and enhance client service.
