By RIMRoad Staff PrinterOn has released PocketWhere 3.0 for BlackBerry, a wireless Internet Printing application that now supports the family of Java-based BlackBerry handhelds developed by Research In Motion. According to the company, PocketWhere 3.0 combines printing and faxing capabilities for email and email attachments. Users can output documents directly from their BlackBerry menu to print to corporate printers or public printers located in hotels, airports, convention centers and Wi-Fi hotspots. Users can print to any fax machine by entering the fax number. PocketWhere connects users directly to printers through PrinterOn's Global Printer Directory. BlackBerry users choose either a fax machine or a printer from the Printer Directory, and click "print" for either the email message or any attachments. Supported file formats include Microsoft Office documents, Adobe PDF, Web pages, and graphic files such as facsimiles and photographs. Enterprises and service providers can use PocketWhere to make their printers accessible to employees, customers and partners. An SDK is available for developers to integrate printing and faxing options into their products. PocketWhere 3.0 supports BlackBerry handhelds operating on GSM/GPRS, the Nextel network, and CDMA 1XRTT wireless networks. Related Links:
