Sony will do a comback with cobalt devices next year
I've had the firt clie being relased the peg-300, then I moved on to the Nr70V, but it got broken a few weeks ago, So now I'm back on Pa1mOne with a T3.

Sony really pushed palm by being innovative and introducing lots of nice features. The TH55 being one of the best PDA's out there with excellent battery time. Unfortunately Sony never released any clie devices in norway, So I had to go for the T3 instead.

I've never ever used a Micro$oft pocket PC device. And I never will. I rather buy a linux laptop instead then.

I think cobalt will really help out palmOS since it will introduce things like virtual memory and layered device drivers, making it far more advanced than the stuff the evil company spits out.

pda's vs smartphones
I too have a couple of Sony Pda's. But truth be known I think the new growth will be in smartphones. I have a treo 600 with the Palm platform. To be honest I use my treo smartphone a lot more. I have my phone, pda, and the wireless internet . I have used it in Indiana, Kentucky, and Las Vegas. I think Palm has just begun! Woody @ http://www.oldlouisville.com

The End for Palm
My experience with Palm's hardware leaves a lot to be desired with bad digitizers, and buttons that fall apart. A friend has had similar problems. Unless another major manufacturer lines up to replace Sony I won't buy another new device with the PalmOS. We have a Clie TG50, and the browser could always be better (NetFront) so Windows CE is the logical place to go.

Sad news
Oh dear, this is just what I was NOT waiting for! I am a clie owner (S-360) and fairly impressed with it. I was looking to upgrade to a cobalt clie, now that seems just a dream. Oh well, I guess microsoft won't shed any tears on this I reckon. Maybe its time to consider PocketPC?...
