Phone issues exagerated
To all those whiners out there that have been complaining about the HP 6315, I have only one thing to say . Read the manual and stick with compatible, quality accessories .
I have two of these units and the only real issue I have is the small amount of memory (should have been 128 Mb) .
Bluetooth problems are non-existent if used with good accessories . Phone quality depends more on your provider (T-Mobile sucks. Get unit unlocked and change service). Yes, the camera quality is very low, but if you bought this unit to use as a camera, your mistake .

They're gonna make you work for it though.
I purchased a T-Mobile HP Ipaq h6315 about five months ago...what a waste of five hundred bux! :( So I was pleased to see your report on the exchange program.

I called T-Mobile customer service to get the ball rolling. They acknowledged that I already had the phone replaced once, but that in order to qualify for the 'exchange' program that would allow me to move to another brand phone, I had to have the phone replaced at least three times within 90 days.

So, I guess I get to ride the merry-go-round for them a little while before I can get rid of this HP brick. My 2nd replacement phone in on it's way. The day I open the box and fire it up - if I have the same issues (intolerable echo, screeching from speakerphone, almost no volume output in BlueTooth mode, etc.) I'll call them to swap it out for the third time...and then I'll do it all over again when I receive the fourth phone.

This process will be necessary in order to have processed 3 replacements within 90 days. Then I can select a different phone (BlackBerry, or maybe Treo) and get off the Merry-go-Round.

I hate to give such a lousy report on T-Mobile's handling of this issue - they're a really great phone company and I recommend them to everyone. But, they really blew it on the HP IPaq h6315.

Regards,

LWB
