Flight Mode Missed Calls
I've had my 6700 for almost a year and I have had constant problems with FLight mode on and off conflicts. When expecting calls I 've noticed the flight mode turned itself on and I would miss hours of calls. Also the pictures I have taken are very blurred even when I have it on a table and snap the picture. The phone dialing screen is difficult to get acustom to.

Plus & Minus
I've been using the 6700 since mid July. Overall I find it works very well. One thing to note is that I never used a PPC or equivalent piece of equipment before getting this. I was of the mind that I did not need to be that connected to my office, being that I was in the habit of checking emails in the morning and in the evening daily. Now that I'm connected I check my emails between calls and find that when the day is done I have more time to do other things.

Plus
Speed
Contacts
Calendar
WiFi function

Minus
Screen (dificult to see in bright light)
No indicator in Outlook when you reply or forward an email
Difficult to use screen keys for phone numbers

With some corrections this could be a really great tool.

So Far Pretty Good
I just got mine thru Alltel. Have had it one week. Never had anything but a regular phone before. I am not much of a texter. But I HATE not being able to access the net and that happens at work (intranet only), at home (when husband is on), in the car (when I want directions). What sold me was the Windows applications. I can get on anytime I have a phone signal and/or a wi-fi signal. It syncs up with my comp at home. Also, my old camera phone was a pain to work and was always taking pictures of the inside of my purse. This one takes great pics and videos and the screen is bigger than my digital camera! If I buy the extra memory card I should be able to use this as an MP3 player. I saw someone watching a compressed movie the other day on theirs. Today I went to an amusement park with my daughter and didn't need to bring my camera as the phone worked great. That's one less thing to worry about. I have been using the "note pad" feature instead of paper to hand write grocery lists, to-do lists etc.
Pros- see above
bigger buttons for inexperienced texters
Cons- adding a data plan was expensive (never had one)
looks bulky compared to treo or blackberry (to me)
lots of accessories to shell out for...memory card, cradle for work and home, car pda holder, signal booster etc.

This whole hipe males me sick - all the revies I have seen that say that this is a good phone are from sites that want to sell you - or they have large SPRINT banner adds ---- This phone simply sucks ---- don't bother trying to understand that! I have been with sprint for 5 years and when I got this phone from them I realized that they had no idea that the thing is practically useless - other than a basic phone, I've received hundreds of dollars in rebates from them because the phone and the add on monthly service you have to pay to have it doen't work. Don't bother buying this phone!

OHHH BOY the charges on this SMART PHONE IS STUPID!
You better not have it against anything or you'll have a lot of windows open or a phone call being made without your knowledge! THANK GOD Sprint has updated their software, because the dang thing turned itself on ALL the time.

As for the SPRINT SERVICE...WARNING: I had a Sprint service plan before having to add their Internet plan that has to come with this phone (NONE of your Sprint plans will work with this phone... This SMART PHONE has its own plan!) Well.. I figured, "instead of calling Sprint EVERY MONTH with my billing disputes (they could not get anything right with my 3 phones on their Sprint contract), I will cancel the Internet to this Smart Phone since I have the wireless at home and can use it for FREE"!! BOY was I wrong!! Sprint had to literally get their 2-cents in at any cost, because when I received my bill for the following month, I WAS CHARGED FOR USING MY OWN-HOME-WIRELESS-INTERNET-SERVICE! They said they charge 2cents/min for using their phones if I am using the Internet... no matter how I use MY PHONE that I paid $500.00 for! Bottom-line.... I sold the phone on Ebay and cannot wait until December when I can say GOOD BYE to Sprint!

Bluetooth voice Dialing!
I have been reading this and I find it all very interesting. I've been all about bluetooth since I found out about it 3 years ago (before sprint had a phone to support it and they took their sweet time!) I switched over to the ppc 6601 and was sad to find it did not make voice prompted calls with bluetooth. But then the luckiest thing happened to me, it broke. Sprint didn't have anymore so they sent me a ppc6700. I had expected the same disappointment with this phones bluetooth. Now I'm not one to go hacking around inside my phone. But I do like to have the latest ROM and software updates. So I visited the manufacturer’s website to see about any updates they have. I was thrilled to find that in their latest update for the ppc 6700 they had included a voice-dialing program. And lo and behold the damn thing starts when I hit my bluetooth head piece. I was so happy I went running around my house (My girlfriend thought I had lost it!). I've been going around entering this on ever forum I can find on the topic! So if you lucky enough to have this phone please visit http://www.utstar.com/handsets/view_phone_details.aspx?mcode=PPC6700&bID=30&sAct=0 and download the latest ROM and software update. Your days of frustration are over. Also check out their updated user manual, it now includes the voice-command functions. Happiness to all!!!!!

Very nice, but needs work
Plusses:
- WiFi enabled camera is great for instant uploads
- Nice screen (when lit)
- Automatically finding connections (802.11, EV-DO) is cool
Minuses:
- Screen impossible to read when unlit, difficult in
sunlight even then
- Keyboard lacks some keys (ctl, esc) and is hard to
enter strong passwords on (mixed case, digits etc.)
