Can't find contacts.
I was trying to carry one device, instead of two. It is much less user-friendly than my Palm Tungsten E2. I am not able to quickly search contacts via company name. If I enter a company listing, it automatically takes me to the first personal contact with that first name, not the company. Palm technical support could only shrug their shoulders.

Not a very good phone?
I'll add to opinions about poor battery life (have to charge nightly if BlueTooth active..).

Worst problem is weak receiver and lost signals, which result in string of Greek characters and symbols, and locked up phone needing reboot. Hugely frustrating not to be able to use it reliably as a telephone. Wish I'd kept Palm Tungsten and gotten Motorola Razr, as that works great as a phone...

just sharing the love...i downloaded a 30 day free trial from mobitv to my treo 680 and it's great. i don't know how often i'll watch, but i'll definitely catch sports updates during the final four while i'm pulling all nighters. i got it at www.mobitvexperience.com and the promocode is TREOTV07. Happy watching.

Treo 680 - Misleading Ads
I have been a Palm user for the last 3 years, as I like the features, including WiFi, extra storage for data, and recording my appointments and recording notes while on sites.
Last month I upgraded my Cell phone to the Treo 680 to combine the phone, PDA, and camera all in one. Well, the .3 megapixel images are rather useless in my technical reports, the device does not have the WiFi, and the battery must be recharged every 24 hours. What happened to the 300 hr. standby and 4 hr use per battery charge?
I have already had the unit replaced once because of the rapid power drain - and I do not use the Treo for e-mail or internet.
In addition, Palm will only sell their handy shortcuts to use the Treo more efficiently and effectively - I don't think that is a great marketing strategy.

Treo 680 Misleading Ads
I have been a Palm user for the last 3 years as I found it very handy in recording my appointments and my on-site notes. I still have a problem using the WiFi in hot spots.
Last month I upgraded my Cel phone to the Treo 680, to combine a phone, PDa, and camera all in one device. I have already had it replaced once as the battery would not last over 24 hours. The replacement is the same, and I do not use the Treo for E-mail, or internet/Web browsing It has to re-charged daily - what happened to the 300 hr. standby or 4 hr. use time?
In addition, Palm only sells their booklet on handy shortcuts and more efficient use of your smart phone - WHY NOT PROVIDE THE BOOKLET FREE SO THAT USERS QUICKLY LEARN TO USE THE DEVICE MORE EFFECTIVELY - would that not improve sales?
