Voxtel recently launched the W740, the first Pocket PC Phone with a 4 megapixel camera. While the auto focus shooter on the back of the unit is hot, some of the other specs on the RAZR-thin (15-millimeter) smartphone aren't so state of the art. Slimness isn't the only thing the W740 has in common with Moto's RAZR line by the way: it seems to have an etched metal keypad. In addition, the tri-band (900/1800/1900) GSM tops out at a mere GPRS data speeds. No 2.5G EDGE, let alone UTMS/HSPDA 3G here.
Additional features include a 200 MHz OMAP730 Texas Instruments processor, 64 MB RAM, 128 MB ROM, a microSD slot, a 1100 mAH Li-Ion battery, and Bluetooth. There's also a 2.4-inch, 65,536 color, and 240 x 320 pixel (QVGA) touch screen.
The black Voxtel W740 measures 106 x 55.2 x 15 millimeters (4.2 x 2.2 x 0.6 inches) and weighs 120 grams (4.2 ounces).
Voxtel lists the smartphone for 13,999 roubles (about 532 dollars). While it is unlikely the W740 will ship in the U.S., its tri-band radio makes it usable in most markets.
