By James Alan Miller
Longtime wireless developer iambic, which is best known for its Palm OS software, but is now also offering a growing list of Windows Mobile and Symbian titles, has added several new Pocket PC and Windows Smartphone applications to its portfolio.
These new titles - EzAlarm, EzQuote, GoogHelper, Tipper, TravelTalk, and Loan Analyzer - are updated versions of programs acquired from Two Peaks software. According to iambic, their introduction is supposed to help pave the way for its upcoming Pocket PC edition of its very popular Palm OS personal information manager Agendus. The company plans to launch an open beta program for this title by the middle of this month. The every increasing number of Windows Mobile-based devices hitting the market (i.e. the T-Mobile Dash, Cingular 3125, Treo 750v, Samsung BlackJack, etc.) is the reason iambic seems to be paying so much more attention to the needs of users of these types of handhelds and smartphones. "And along with these devices is a growing base of customers seeking ways to simplify their lives and have some fun too," said iambic COO Adrsaidiano Chiaretta in a statement. "We are very excited about these new Windows Mobile offerings and look forward to having the opportunity to support and service customers in this part of the market." These titles are available for both Pocket PCs and Windows Smartphones.
