With the new edition, Opera promises a Web browsing experience closer than ever before to the desktop: It provides Flash support (Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC & FlashLite 2.1), allows users to send links by e-mail, SMS or MMS, and adds several menu and user interface enhancements, such as an integrated search field in the address bar, according to Opera.

Additional new features include:

  •  Text Wrap in Desktop Mode
  •  Grab and Scroll (only applicable to Pocket PC)
  •  Save image
  •  Copy text Send link as e-mail, SMS, and MMS
  •  Import bookmarks from Pocket Internet Explorer
  •  Desktop Mode as default viewing mode Changelog

In addition to being available as a download (over three million so far), manufacturers like Motorola, Samsung, HTC, Asus, Sharp and Toshiba have licensed and installed Opera Mobile on their Windows Mobile devices..

Opera has posted a notice saying a bug causing problems on non-English devices (Opera 8.65 WM) has been discovered. They are working to correct this problem and expect to have a new build out soon.
