BeeJive has just released the newest version of JiveTalk for BlackBerrys, 1.0.3. The big news for this edition is that it adds support MySpace IM. Previously, only Shape Services' IM+ offered MySpace IM to BlackBerry users.

JiveTalk also supports buddy icons in AIM (AOL Instant Message) if your BlackBerry has OS 4.2 or higher and a microSD card. The buddy icons are stored on the microSD card. Not only can you view your friend's buddy icons, but you can also set your own icon.

The software automatically resizes and re-formats the picture to be compatible with the requirements for buddy icons on AIM. There is also an added preference that allows you to enable or disable downloading and displaying buddy icons.

   File transfers - send or receive files directly from your BlackBerry (8100/8300/8800 Series only), currently supports transfers on AIM and MSN.

   Conversation history - view or email past chats

   Full 128-bit encryption of all over-the-air data transmission

   Automatically detects best network transport option, supports BES/MDS, BIS-B, and Direct TCP.
