Nokia's All Touch Screen Phone Shot in the Wild

A number of new and upcoming smartphones have made an appearance at this week's Computex tradeshow in Taiwan. The most interesting device has got to be one that until now has been but a mere concept; Nokia's Aeon, which first showed up last fall in the R&D section of the Finnish phone-company's Web site.

If photos taken at Computex are to be believed (and there's no reason not to take them at face value), Aeon has made the move from concept to reality. The images show what appears to be a prototype of Aeon in the wild.

So what exactly is Aeon?

As you can see from the pictures, it is an ultra-modern-looking and thin mobile handset that loses everything one might find in a cell phone or smartphone, even the keypad or keyboard. Aeon is a all touch-screen phone.

Hey, wait a second, doesn't this sound a lot like the iPhone and several other smartphones (i.e. the LG Prada, HTC Touch)introduced over the last few months. Yes it does. Perhaps it is Nokia's answer to all these devices.

Nothing else is known about Aeon, including specifications.

From the sleek and colorful concept pictures (see below)that first surfaced in October, it appears virtual keys come up on Aeon when you need to make a call.
