CamelMedia Soft is now offering Handy Minesweeper for BlackBerry. The $6.99 is compatible with most BlackBerrys, including the Pearl that I tried it out on.

While the game worked overall, I was not impressed. The high score screen was hard to read because of the background. There was also a grammatical error on the screen you get when you win.

You can pick your level, similar to the game on your PC. The harder level means bigger boards and more mines. And just like the PC game you get the option to customize your game by picking the size of the board and number of mines.

Keypad explained which keys on your keypad will flag squares or open them up. For the Pearl you can use the scroll ball to move around and clicking on it opens up the square. The star key marks or un-marks the square.

The About section gives you more information about minesweeper than most people care to know. It includes the number of squares and mines in the different difficultly levels to good and the best times known at finishing the game.

Although I was, overall, not impressed by the game, it played fine and could keep you entertained for hours. Click here to learn more about Handy Minesweeper for BlackBerry.
