Video Shows BlackBerry Storm in Action

By James Alan Miller
October 15, 2008

A week ago, Research In Motion officially introduced one of the worst kept secrets in the world of smartphones, the BlackBerry Storm. The new BlackBerry is the most compelling member of the so-called family of iPhone killers yet.

Not only does it sport a touch screen, the Storm's display is so advanced, the user feels the screen being pressed and released with a gentle "click," similar to the feeling of a key on a physical keyboard or a button on a mouse. The "clickable" touch-screen gives the user positive confirmation that they have made a selection.

While the Storm won't ship until later this fall—through Verizon in the U.S. and Vodafone in Europe, India, Australia and New Zealand—you can get a good idea about how it works now through a new video of the Vodafone edition of the Storm in action.

Check it out below:

This video takes you through some of the Storm's features and native applications.
