TeleNav Navigates GPS App Onto BlackBerry Storm

By Brian T. Horowitz
December 24, 2008

This week TeleNav added its GPS Navigator app to the popular RIM BlackBerry Storm.

With GPS Navigator, you get 3D moving maps in full color, voice and onscreen directions, a Wi-Fi hot spot locater, and on-click rerouting for traffic alerts.

Verizon offers a free 30-day trial of GPS Navigator or an unlimited subscription for $9.99 per month. TeleNav's app provides an alternative to Verizon's VZ Navigator, which is also accessible on the Storm.

Earlier this month, TeleNav also announced its TeleNav Vehicle Tracker, an embedded GPS modem to track corporate delivery vehicles.
